Some of these games had some pretty good acclaim that I just never got around to purchasing (Burnout Paradise, StarWars Complete, Viva Pinata 1,2). For the right price this will definately be enticing.

Netflix browsing is pretty cool, although there is no sort or search I could find. You get lots of prebuilt lists for different genre's and new items, plus some "stuff like X" for the last few things you've watch.
The playback is much better. It no longer goes through the long pause when network conditions change. It just snaps to the new level.
The update doesn't have actual netflix browsing.
It has a few 'top 50' lists by genre or some shit.
It's probably trying to cover the fact that the Netflix Watch Now library is kinda weak. And while you may be impressed with the top 50 titles in a given genre, trying to search for something is probably going to end poorly.
(e.g. with gamers giving up after searching for 5 random movies and none of them are on Watch Now)

If the Xbox Originals are any indication, then Games on Demand won't be competitive with used retail copies or even discounted new retail copies of these games.
No word on a fix for the lagtastic guide? It was great for the first day or two after the big NXE update, but now the thing takes forever when opening, or worse, when closing. I'd prefer a menu not take 10 seconds to open and 20 seconds to close while I'm in the middle of a game and all I want to do is invite someone who just signed on to my party.
While I'm listing pipe dreams, I wish the party screen was on a separate blade so it'd be even quicker to access too. I seriously want to spend less than 5 seconds opening the guide, inviting a friend, and closing it again, not the ordeal it currently is.

I'm in the preview and I'd say it feels a little faster, yes. It used to freeze for a few seconds once in a while, especially when closing my friends list of all things, and it did not happen since I've updated.

It happens to me as well, it's so annoying. I think it's trying to load up what your friends are doing.
So, I'm sure this is going to be considered a stupid question by some, but it's just one that I haven't seen answered yet. I've had my Elite for a couple of years (well, I've had the same 120gb HD, anyway), and I think I'm currently down to around 62gb of available HD space. I juggle installing and uninstalling games in order to ensure that I've got plenty of space for DLC, shows, etc...
Now, I assume once you've purchased something on Live (not a rental, obviously), and you delete it from your HD - you can download it again for free, correct? So with these new "Games on Demand" - same thing? I'm excited to be able to purchase these games at reduced cost, but don't want to permanently install a bunch of 4 to 7 gb games on my 360 if I'm unable to remove and reinstall them at my leisure. It seems only logical that this would be the case, since most 360 owners have the 20 and 60 gig HD.
To this point, I don't think I've ever tried to reinstall something that I've purchased and deleted, but I'm sure that's about to change.

Correct. Any content you purchased can be redownloaded for free. It will be the same deal for the on demand games.
