Assassin's Creed 2 Collector's Edition Revealed

Assassin's Creed 2 was bound to get a Collector's Edition, and Joystiq noticed on Twitter that the info has been posted.

Quote:
The official Assassin's Creed Twitter feed has revealed what will be discovered inside the sequel's collector's edition -- oddly enough, it's quite similar to what was found in the original's collector's edition (photo after the break). The set comes with the game, art book, statue of the latest protagonist and GameStop "exclusive" in-game maps. One map is the previously mentioned Palazzo Medici, while the other is the Santa Maria dei Frari in Venice.
Exclusive maps? That pretty much confirms multiplayer right?

The first game was fun and refreshing, i feel like it will be just like the matrix in multiplayer :P

I know the first received a lukewarm reception, but I really enjoyed it. I'm definately looking forward to the sequel, and will pick it up at GameStop for the exclusive maps (Damn YOU!!!)

I really liked the first one and will pick this up as well. I will not be purchasing the fatty collectors edition however. It's already going to be an expensive season, and that extra money will be better spent on other titles. Borderlands, COD:MW2, Halo ODST, Dragon Age, Brutal Legend, you get the idea.

Ghostbusters, Batman and this are on my list. Debating the collectors edition, am such a pushover for art books.

Wow, that's a pretty sweet-looking figure! We have a Renaissance faire near Racine and I'd totally wear that getup to it.

From what I have seen, the exclusive maps are in fact single player missions.

That's actually promising for me. This game doesn't need MP.

I dont remember many games getting this kind of treatment before Halo, now EVERY game is.

I still have yet the desire to purchase one of these.

Nice looking collector's edition. I probably won't get it, but it's still nice. I WILL be getting the game, though - I thoroughly enjoyed the first one.

I checked out the Gamestop page and it only lists collector editions for PS3 and 360, $80 each.

These exclusive maps are for multiplayer i guess? Didn't know multi-player was confirmed?..havent been following that closeley tbh though.
Surely not that many people would pre-order at gamestop so they would be pretty barren? I dont understand how this is gonna work, plus i am in the UK so does that mean i have no chance of getting these maps??

can't stand 'sneaking around' games/levels/etc. definitely passing on this one, again.
