Please excuse us for missing this week's episode of Monday Morning Blues. I had to deal with a boat mechanic's worst nightmare yesterday; a ruptured waste tank. I'll spare you the details.
Over the last few days I've been playing Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, Demigod and Fallout 3. CoJ: Bound in Blood took me by surprise and Dawn of War II has been on my play list for a while now. Evil sent me the Collector's Edition of Demigod a few days ago; very enjoyable game, even though it still has some pathfinding issues.
I was well into my third go around with Fallout 3 when I decided I could not hold out any longer. After logging into Games for Windows - LIVE for the second time (the first time resulted in every marketplace link leading to a red blob and the word 'error') I ended up with 200 extra Microsoft Points and the third DLC, Broken Steel. It was well worth the price of admission; some of the new perks are very handy and I'm still playing the same character 20+ hours after the original ending.
I'm back to playing inFAMOUS on the PS3, and I'm grabbing some MS points to DL all the new DLC for Fallout 3 and getting back on that saddle. Star Ocean 4 sits there and waits for me, but I really have little interest in playing that right now.
I also grabbed Earth Defense Force 2017 for the 360 for 15 bucks new @ BB. Up to level 53 on that.. Ton's of mindless shooting fun.
I hardly have time after my son's birth. I was looking at getting a Turn Based Strategy game. The Civilization 4 Complete Edition on Steam looks like a good deal.

Anyone have any opinions on Civ4?
Civ IV is an absolutely incredible waste of time. I've probably put about 200 hours onto it so far, it's easily the best Civilization game, which puts it up there as one of the best games of all time.
oh yeah. I'm playing BlazBlue, lots and lots of BlazBlue. I really can't stop playing BlazBlue. I've never been this interested in a fighting game before.

Thank you Syl. If I get a few moments I'll purchase the thing and play it.

I second Syl's endorsement of Civ IV, great game. GalCiv II: Ultimate Edition is another great one if you're still having that turn-based strategy craving after Civ IV.

Finally beat Rush n' Attack (nes)
I had sunk hours into this with a best friend growing up and neither of us could ever get past the second level.
The wonders of save states let me put this game out to pasture
Finally finished Wolverine XB360 and started Soldier of Fortune: Payback XB360.
Wolverine combat wise was a fun even though glitchy. Received 800GP without much of a stretch.
Soldier of Fortune aside from the gore really isn't that great. Easy gamer points for single play expecting 400 for not much work. Game was recommended to me by a friend so I figured I would go though it quickly.
As anybody can see I'm working for GP so I can pass my friend not that it means anything but after I pass him I'll move on to better content.
