12 bucks for this game already? This seems pretty embarrassing for Epic, when games like CoD4 still carry the $60 price tag over a year after release.

Very few PC games stay at $50 for long. Most of them drop in price a couple of months after release. Far Cry 2 and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 are recent releases that have both dropped to $30 for example.
That i justs great, I just bought it yesterday for 19.99!
I suppose they would never price match themselves eh?
You could always just spend a few keystrokes and shoot an e-mail to their customer service. The worst they can do is tell you they can't/won't refund the difference.
Over the many years I've been gaming, I've never actually played anything in the Unreal series. This seems like as great time to start.

Yeah, I just picked up Red Alert 3 Premium Edition for $10 at Best Buy yesterday (using the $20 Reward Zone coupon on their website for this and a few other titles - thanks, cheapassgamer.com). I rarely buy PC titles near launch since they price drop much faster than console titles.

This is a great deal on UTIII.
I use the same purchasing strategy for PC games.
I agree, this is a great deal. I played UT3 Black for a few hours last night. The game is much improved.
I have drifted back to my old FPS ways latley ( I blame my wife we actually met at Quakecon back in 97 ) UT 3 is a blast to play...but still nothihing compares to the original UT....I'm also playing a crapload of Quake Live...but yeah 11 bucks is a no brainer.

I refuse to play this game unless I can use an Xbox 360 controller!
FINISH HIM!

This game is still too 'dark' and 'gritty'. I don't mind that sort of thing as a theme; but as the modus operandi for a game series' art direction, it is shit. I need readability in my twitch games, which is something UT3 sorely lacks.
I wanted to spend the measly 12 dollars on this game, and I agonized for a long time—even after having played a couple of hours just a bit ago. Put some of the gameplay/interface agility and colorful art direction back into your flagship PC title, Epic, and I'll come back, too. I just can't play this muddy mess.

Well after reading this your sig makes much moire sense.... dude what do you want Rainbow Bright type graphics? I think the art direction is fantastic and is not that big a departure from the original UT (hell ever played the Ice Station zero map??) I could see you complaining about the advent of Titans or Vehicles, or the removal of the famous Die Bitch taunt,,,,but saying it's too gritty?
