Could this "Free Roam" be more or less the GTA multiplayer we've all been dreaming of?
They need to just break down and make a GTA game co-op, even if it's just local.
And I'm talking start to finish "in story mode" co-op.
On PS3, though, right? I mean, it's shaping up to be so awesome that the already fragile innards of the Xbox 360 will not be able to handle it - this will be Sony's trump card.

What I want to know if just how much of this can be played locally. I don't pay for Xbox live as i would hardly use it, so I'm hoping at the very least free roam can be played splitscreen. Hell, going on two player crime sprees in San Andreas is STILL a regular thing with my friends, on the original xbox no less. I'm sure I'll buy the game regardless, it'd just seem like a waste to add all this multiplayer without doing something for the splitscreen crowd.
You know, I can imagine what all of them are except for Deal Breaker and Hangman's Noose.

I think the only thing they've said between the two versions is that the PS3 version looks slightly better, but both run at the same clip and everything.

Yes, they said the Hot Coffee mod is a lot better on the PS3 version.

Yeah, I thought there might be more at the link...still didn't describe deal breaker. I can see free roam and GTA Race being the most popular though.
