Free MMO - Cabal Online

Games been available to Europe for quite some time, but I read that the North American Open Beta finally begins tomorrow, Feb 1st, 2008.

Always been a fan of these throw away MMO's. Have fun grinding for a few weeks, maybe a month then it's easy to toss it to the way side because it's free.

Anyone across the ocean have any impressions of the game? Or anyone else plan on trying it out?

No idea, the videos about the combo system just seemed interesting for an game like this. I have no doubt it'll be a sub-par game, but like I said I'm a fan of the throw-away MMO games (Flyff, Rappelz, Knight Online, Hero Online, etc.).

If I had to guess, it'll be a free to play game with real cash shops for specific items.

Only reason i play these games is because i simply love the over-the-top fighting styles, and that asian style in general.

Downloading the EU version now.

I looked at the storyline page. I swear it was a genaric plot made by copy-pasta.

Art style looks like WoW-sci-fi. Not sure about how stylish the combat is. But I want a MMO with air juggles and rushdown.

I was in an earlier beta for this game, or at least tried to be.

It spent days trying to get their stupidass client to actually work, and on top of that the damn thing came complete with a virus.

Impressive videos and all, but I wouldn't touch this game again with a ten foot pole.

installed this last night.. tried to login today and all i see is Mecury on the server screen, with nothing in the drop down and cant login to just Mercury.

servers down or something?

finally got it working.. had to delete a patch file..repatch.. test it out.

its interesting because it feels more like an arcade game than an MMO, whicih isnt really a bad thing i guess. i will say that the attack moves look a little more animated and fun than WoW, thats fore sure. graphics in general are alright.. just not to keen on the whole potion chugging system. all in all tho, its a nice big ol ball of mediocre.
