Ubisoft Reveals New Prince of Persia & Tom Clancy Games; Haze Delayed
Ubisoft released their third quarter 2007-2008 report (PDF here) and in the process revealed some juicy tidbits.
Quote:
The 2008-09 line-up will include notably the following key titles:
• 7 franchises, including Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell®, Brothers in Arms®, Far Cry®, Prince of Persia® and Anno™,
• 5 new brands, including Tom Clancy's EndWar™, Haze™, the Shaun White snowboard game and a Tom Clancy™ air combat game,
I only played the original PoP. I bought the 2nd to play on the oXbox but then my console broke. (Black and white only, no color very strange, I tried two different component cables) I guess I'll just wait for this next one.
I loved all three, and all three were worth the 30 or so dollars I spent on them. I beleive that D2D has free versions of some, and I am really sure Gametap has all three available as well.
PoP2 is fine, and better than 3. People love to hate it because it's the popular thing to do. PoP1 is still the best though.
Cor, look at me jumping on bandwagons! Wait a second...lemme try something...

PoP2 is shit, and worse than 3. People love to say it isn't because it's the anti-popular thing to do.
Turning opinion arguments around is easily done, and equally valid because they are both opinions. I'll have none of your Nordic bullying!

I love ya, KG, but I have to call you on this Madonna/Whore thing you're accusing me of. I like plenty of fair to middling games. In fact, I'd say the majority of games I love fall in that category. I thought PoP2, with its retardalicious soundtrack and extreme theme, sucked a big bag of dicks.
WTH happened to EvAv recently? Since when did this place become Daily Gaming News...With Platitude?
There are an awful lot of pussies running around the place these days that want to still the voices of the people.

Two Thrones ain't bad, but it sure is a poor man's God of War. Sands of Time, on the other hand, is a masterpiece. I still wish they would've kept it to platforming and not combat. I don't think Ubisoft knows how to make good combat outside of Tom Clancy.
Hmm, they might be able to do some interesting things with PoP on the current technology. And, JESUS, someone get Clancy some ice - ol' Tom's teats must be sore as hell!

I think 3 struck a very good balance between the combat and the platforming. If you look back the combat in Sands wasn't that good.
No one commenting on the Tom Clancy air combat game? I really thought more of you would be excited about that one.
One might as well say Nintendo is making a new game with airplanes in it. Tom Clancy has a good pedigree, but with no details, this is just a bullet point.
