Despite Xbox 360's general failure in Japan, Halo 3 has outsold all other games from September 24th to September 30th. Here is the Japanese software sales chart:

No one can resists the power of Halo. Not even the Japanese.
It's a bit of a misnomer, though. If you add up the two versions of that Pokemon game, it sold almost double Halo 3. And the Pokemon game has been out for what, months probably?

Not only that, but the console sales actually broke out to 5.8k this week. That's like 4 weeks in 1 compared to their normal sales!
I'm a realist, I never expect Japan to make an American console #1. But it is kind of heartwarming to see some of their gamers appreciate our titles as well.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not legal for doctors to kill their patients through medical/pharmeceutical errors. That's called medical malpractice, and it results in phat lootz.
As slow as the week was, that is still extremely impressive numbers for an american FPS in Japan. I've heard the translation / Japanese voice recording was actually really well done though.
Has anyone seen any Japanese Halo ads? they must have had a pretty good marketing push to get those numbers.
