Everyone is too busy playing H3 to post or make news.
Seriously though, I think we're still in the eye of the storm so to speak. People fear that Halo will overshadow whatever announcement they make in it's vicinity, so all important events have been moved to a later date. That's my theory anyway.
This is just a very slow day. It's been that way for the past few weeks, where we'll have days where absolutely nothing of note is happening. The most interesting thing I've seen all day is that the Japanese charts were topped with 2 PSP games this week, Crisis Core (again) and MGS: PO+. Not the most exciting bit of news.

Rumor has it that FF XIII and Versus are confirmed exclusive. I'm kinda tired myself of all the Halo talk. We need to move on now. Probably best to start by going back to the good ol' black & crimson wink wink.
Well, I consider this a good problem. We consume videogame news because, theoretically, we enjoy playing games. There is a good videogame to play now therefore people don't care as much about "news" related to games. It is sort of like thinking about food after you just ate a big steak dinner.
It is a good sign that we haven't become so consumeristic that we forget to enjoy the thing we are consuming before moving on to the "next big thing" again.

Between Halo 3, World in Conflict, TF2, various DS games and silly little things like work and sleep, I've been paying attention to precious little else. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

Bang on brother ... so we gonna get you in a game (of Halo) tonight or what?
Played the Jericho demo last night (PC) and loved it, it's definitely going to be an acquired taste, I think you will either love it or hate it. It feels different than other traditional FPS games and is very cinematic. In other news my Gold account expired and I may have to choose between Halo 3 and renewing...what kinda shit is that?
Also I think I just got stabbed in the right eye by an invisible Smurf..aaarrrgh what the hell!?! This hurts!
I think everyone in the gaming industry just backed off and planned their bullshit and announcements for a week after Halo came out, except for Kane and Lynch killing their chances of a successful launch in November.

Activision is buying the team behind Project Gotham Racing, thats significant, I presume PGR5 onwards will be crossplatform, PGR4 might show up as a port along the line.
Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts has been released for PC and is causing quite a stir with it's copy protection features. Or not... silly really, people are like "OMG I have to connect to the internet to log in OR have a DVD in the drive if I'm not hooked up"
I took the day off today, scheduled of course, so I can be alone and play games. Tomorrow I have most of the day as well. See, I have a girlfriend and she seems to cockblock all my gaming time.
It's not funny.
Anyway, she heard me in the living room around 12:30 AM last night screaming, "That's me, that's me!" and asked me this morning what I was doing. I had some asshole team killer shooting me up repeatedly in the co-op campaign during a lull in the action.
She didn't know I was talking on the headset. I guess it would be pretty funny for her to wake up and hear me screaming like I'm coked up and staring in the mirror.
