Bioware's RPG Mass Effect was one of the most impressive games I saw this year at E3 2007. In fact, I'd say it was far and away the best looking game I saw.
Here are 10 things you may or may not know about Mass Effect for the Xbox 360.
10. Every line of dialog in the game is being recorded.
9. Emotion is very evident in Mass Effect with exceptional dialog and incredibly detailed facial expressions.
8. Even though there is a 3rd person action game during battles, it's not twitched based and it is "very forgiving"
7. There are multiple paths for everything in the game, making each play through completely different.
6. Not every character in the game will be able to join your party based on the decisions you make.
5. The graphics are incredibly detailed, and the entire game is run through a film filter that gives it a unique style
4. The game features and incredible amount of planets you can visit. Planets in the game that are important and feature quests have extra notations to let you know.
3. You are able to "scan" planets to find special items.
2. Have I said the graphics are incredible?
1. The game fits on 1 DVD and even has room to spare for loading optimizations.
You can hear the audio of the closed doors demo right here.
You can listen to the streaming version via Odeo here.
Man, everytime I hear more things about Mass Effect, the more I want it. Sadly, I'll probably be buried in other games like Bioshock, Ace Combat 6, and Virtua Fighter 5. I'll definitely purchase it though.. just not on day one.

Aside from Hellgate London, this is the game I really look forward to, and can't wait for. It really looks like it will have a ton of replay value to keep me happy and exploring.
Well I heard they have a tone of downloadable content they want to add after the game ships...so maybe that time will be increased? NOt sure I heard it was only 20 hours though thought it was about 40 to 50?? anyone know?

I think the difference is that with all the side quests fable was about 20 to 30 hours....with mass effect its 20 for the main and a helluva lot more f ors ide quests...
4. The game features and incredible amount of planets you can visit. Planets in the game that are important and feature quests have extra notations to let you know.
What kind of numbers are we talking, and how are they going to make a significant number of planets unique? (As far as terrain, enemies, structures, etc.) I'm hoping this doesn't mean that there'll be 5 Jungle planets, where you fight the exact same enemies, and the terrain all looks the same. I'm sure they'll make the important planets unique, but I wonder how they'll do it for all the extra planets.
