Gamasutra is reporting that GameTap has secured a license to release Sega Saturn games through its service.

Turner's GameTap subscription PC 'all you can eat' gaming service has now added Sega Saturn games to its service, with the debut of platform game Bug! as a special Easter-timed Easter Egg for its service.
The game is currently filed as 'Insect?' as a 'secret' feature for gamers to discover within the service, which has 851 games currently available as part of its monthly subscription.
The range of legacy titles include games for the arcade, Atari 2600, Commodore 64, Sega Dreamcast, Game Gear, Genesis, 32-X, SG-1000 and Master System, as well as the Intellivision, DOS Windows, and Neo Geo.
GameTap gets more and more appealing as time goes by.
Is this going to be like their "Dreamcast" support? Which is to say... only Dreamcast games that ALSO had PC versions... so they aren't really Dreamcast games at all... it's just the PC version of a game that was also on Dreamcast.
Judging from the fact that their first "Saturn" game is Bug! (which was also released on PC)... I assume it's the same way. PC games which were also on Saturn. It's not actually emulating Saturn games or anything, so you'll never see most of the games that were on the Saturn, only the ones that also had PC versions.
BRING US GUARDIAN HEROES, AND WE SHALL ANSWER IN KIND!
UnderHero5 makes an interesting point... hopefully they have some sort of Saturn emulation and we get Guardian Heroes, though.
*smiles as his thinks about his mint condition copy of Guardian Heroes and his Saturn sitting in his closet*
Guardian Heroes rocks. I kind of doubt we'll ever see it on GameTap though, unfortunately. You never know though.
Give me Panzer Dragoon Saga, and I'll give you my money gametap...

Is this true with Dreamcast support? If so, and the same is with the Saturn, than this news is nothing at all. No reason to be excited, just skeptical.
Dragon Force, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Guardian Heroes, and Shining Force 3 (including the other 2 parts, please?). If they can give me these, then I'll be on board without question.
Slightly OT, but I heard that the Japan-only sequel to Dragon Force bit the big one. That's rather disappointing, if true.
