I would like to see this movie like kind of a spiritual sci-fi sequel to Brokeback Mountain. Don't tell me you guys didn't feel the tension between Marcus and Don. It would be beautiful.

Anyway, this is interesting news, but I think I'll reserve judgement for later. At least until I see some exploding Locust brains in a trailer.

However, would it be better as prequel/sequel or side-story to the game? I think a movie based around Emergence Day could work. Is having Marcus necessary? I guess so, but it'd be cool to see it work without him.

It seems like it could be a good idea...
It kind of seems like a sellout though...

This goes in every direction possible. Yet the movie industry seems to really be running dry on ideas, video games and comics are their only source it seems for original content.

I don't know. Marty Bowen has only produced The Nativity Story. And Wyck Godfrey's best movie is I Robot... which isn't saying a whole lot. Check him out.

I would love a well done Future 300-esque shoot all that moves type shit. I would have loved 300 even more if it was just 2 hours of ass kickery, leave the politics at home.
