New Lost Planet Multiplayer Maps On Live Marketplace

Word comes from Major Nelson That 2 new multiplayer maps are now available on marketplace for Lost Planet Running for a cool 400 points. The maps are Radar Field and Island 902.

Just recently getting back into my 360 habits, I picked this up earlier this week. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet so I'm wondering if this will be worth it at that price point.

Multiplayer is the best thing about this game. But $5 for two fucking maps. No way.

Yeah, that price for 2 maps is rather difficult to swallow regardless of the quality of the maps.

Apparently I was dumb enough to "rop" 60 dollars on the game and I have to admit, you're comment confused me because I really have no regrets about it.

I guess you got "ropped" according to him?

I want this game, despite the mixed reviews. Just haven't got the $$$$ to rop right now!

Same, except I do regret it - I bought the collector. The game gets horribly repetetive, but MAN is it pretty. Still, wish I didn't get caught in the hype.

I guess I did.

I'll tell you, Lost Planet SP to me is very much like King Kong. It's an atmospheric story that you run along. I've yet to get "stuck" in any part and it's definitely what I'm using now for solo play. <insert masturbation joke here> Not the greatest game in the world, but far from the worst. And I haven't even tried MP yet.

Yeah, I'm usually a sucker for Collector's Editions. Didn't get Lost Planet's which I don't regret, but I didn't get the R6:V which I do.

Sorry Capcom, you ain't gettin' my 400 points for 2 measly maps. Maybe if you allowed an update that incorporates using the Hook while Jumping at the same time, but you haven't so far, and I'm not holding my breath that you will.

I rented Lost Planet and ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Enough to grab it used off of another EvAver. You can use a grappling hook in multi-player, which already puts it ahead of most shooters as far as I am concerned.

And man those explosions are pretty.

I love the multiplayer for this game, and haven't even tried the single player. I do wish you could jump grapple, but it is not a show stopped in my book.

$5 for two maps is too steep for me though. I'm sure someone will buy them, but it sure as hell ain't me.

I'm actually sorta wondering: are servers on map rotations like on gears of war? if so, will players without all the maps get booted when a server changes maps? And if so, isn't this basically like forcing players to spend the money?

Well, I'd rather save my money for aomething more meaningfull. I've played it for a while and thought the MP was cool, but come on.

Support your community, it sold like hotcakes.

No, it's one map and then back to the lobby before a new round.
