Would it be possible to have a 'thumbnails' page for screenshots? The mouseover thing is nice, but when there's this many it'd be really good to have an overview.
It doesn't look like there's anything here that we haven't already seen from the available trailers through Steam, so some might be disappointed. However, I'm actually glad because while I don't want to spoil the game for myself, I can't resist clicking to see some new screenshots
The Source engine does look dated. It doesn't look bad if you put in the effort. Just like older movies, some can look great (Lawrence of Arabia) and some can look like trash (Random selection from the same time period).
Looking good/bad doesn't change the fact that source looks a lot more like an older Xbox game than I would like.
Still wont keep me from enjoying the hell out of this game.

Ultimately it'll be about how it plays, not how it looks, considering the type of game it is and how much time people will spend playing a good TF game online.
Eh, the Source engine is rather long in the tooth by now. There's nothing in those shots that really "Wow!" me anymore. And why are people praising Valve for just recently adding "outdoor" areas to the Source engine when older and better looking games such as Far Cry already had impressive outdoor maps? This isn't directed at anyone in this thread, but I'm sick of people acting like Valve invented everything in the FPS genre.
I think the most impressive thing about the source engine is the scalability of it while looking amazing.
And Snarboo, I have to admit I do that sometimes, it's just that many of the innovations and gameplay experiences that come standard in a good game today started with valve. Every concept they didn't invent or bring to a new light I just feel they do better than anyone else.

Actually, I take back some of what I said. The engine itself isn't necessarily dated, as long as they update it. It's the assets that are starting to look dated. Half-Life 2 had some impressive art direction, but some of the graphics are starting to look extremely blurry and ugly even with shader's to mask that. Thank God there are free community texture packs to fix that issue.
Having had a chance to recently pickup and play Far Cry, I'm starting to think Crytek might be the next big company for FPS games. I've honestly had more fun with Far Cry than Half-Life 2. I also prefer FC's visuals and style over HL2. If it wasn't for those stupid mutants, I'd definitely say FC was the better game. Hopefully Crysis will fix some of the problems FC had. Some of the crazy things shown in those videos make me very excited, such as the prospect of picking up thugs by the neck and launching them into the air.

Ugh. I must be one of the only people in the world that didn't think Far Cry was all that great. Yes, the outdoor areas looked really good, but the game just degenerated into another hallway shooter with mutants. Mutants with big guns. I kept expecting robo-Hitler to show up at the end.
What is the deal with all the Far Cry versions and semi-sequels anyway? None of them added anything really new to the game. Unfortunately, I think the Far Cry franchise may wind up like Turok.
