Nanostray Soundtrack Coming

After having watched the recently released video for Nanostray 2, I realized how much I thoroughly enjoyed the music for the series. A few emails back and forth with the developer, Shinen Multimedia, and some good news was born.

Shinen will be releasing a soundtrack of Nanostray music in the near future. They suggest that all interested parties should send email to "info@shinen.com" with the subject of "nanostray soundtrack" to be informed of the soundtrack's release.

No word on the format the soundtrack will be available, CD, MP3 or iTunes; or if it is the soundtrack for Nanostray or Nanostray 2. We know that it is coming in the near future.

For those of you who may not know, Shinen also produces software and tools for audio development on the Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance/Game Boy, and Nokia N-Gage. They have substantial experience at creating synthesized music for games and have developed two of the most sophisticated audio engines for the Game Boy Advance, licensed for use in over 50 games. To get an idea of some of the music, check out the videos for Nanostray and Nanostray 2.

You got me really curious on the music. I didn't pay attention to it any of the times I played it. I must go back and have a good listen. Thanks for the heads up.

I love most Shmup soundtracks. Especially the Thunderforce series. Hellfire also comes to mind.

Hey, what about that one on the SNES that was given early 90's dance music when brought to the states!(sorry, can't think of the game, not at my house!) While a good way to rape the original intention of the game, that music made it kickass.
