Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Call of Duty: Ghosts
DC Universe Online
Just Dance 2014
Killzone Shadow Fall
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
Madden NFL 25
NBA Live 14
Skylanders: Swap Force
With these titles expected to release by March 2014:
inFamous Second Son
Need for Speed: Rivals
Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty
The Order: 1886
Wolfenstein: The New Order
I'd like Watch Dogs at launch and Infamous the second it's out. Anything else in there make the PS4 worth buying at launch?
There is not a single launch title that compels me to be an early adopter. That said, AC4, Battlefield 4, Diablo 3, Killzone Shadow fall, Watch Dogs, inFamous, and the The Order are all on my radar. I can definately wait until production batch two comes through in 2014.
Watch Dogs is the only thing I am dying to play...however I wouldn't mind also picking up:
Call of Duty: Ghosts <---I haven't played a CoD game in years. Might be a good time to jump back in.
Diablo 3 <--- Didn't play the PC/Mac version...but it may be good on consoles.
DriveClub <---- Love driving games and this one has me curious.
Looks to me about as solid as launch lineups ever get, barring a stroke of luck like Halo or the Mario killer-apps of yore.
I disagree. Unfortunately, I think it has several problems:
1. Most (all?) of those games can be found on other systems and some are really old ports like Diablo III, Warframe. and DC Universe.
2. They've clearly TRIED to represent all genres, but while the offering is decently broad, some of the genres have one boring representation or they are completely ignored (not one new RPG or a platformer, and DriveClub is a simulation racer so arcade racers can get fucked evidently).
1 Action/Stealth game with AC3:Black Flag
2 Kids Adventure(minor Platforming) with Skylanders and Lego
4 EA Sports perennials
3 old PC ports (D3, DC Universe, and Warframe)
2 Military FPS (BF and CoD), 1 shitty sci-fi (Killzone series DIE already),
1 Adventure/Puzzler - Knack
1 Open-world (Watch Dogs)
1 Simulation Racer - (DriveClub)
3. Finally, I agree with you that they don't have a killer-app. Watch Dogs is sort of one, but it's multi-platform, so. . .

Diab3 and killzone for me, but 2 titles does not warrant a console purchase to me. Kinda getting tired of gaming lately. Haven't fired up the 360/ps3/wii in months, and can't even bring myself to play anything on the PC even. What little I game I do on the iPad. Guess I'm getting burned out on the endless servings of shit on a shovel that passes for games these days. Maybe it's time for a new hobby... Like more kinky sex with the wife, now THERE'S some achievements worth a damn.
A special "Thank you" to the one man shop at http://mobile1up.com/. Maker of bite sized single player games on the go.
Some of the by march games look good,of course some will get delayed. Launch games are PC games ,well the hand full I care about are. If Destiny for PC gets confirmed seems like I can wait on a PS4 for awhile and build a new rig instead.
