Most console games are also adding "and Windows PC". So why not a FF on PC in a timely manner? Same architecture.

Console platform holders will make sure PC port's 6+ month delayed. "Profit deal" for select parties.

If only 6 months, I'm cool with that.

It was a good move to change Versus 13 to 15. Looks badass as always, can't wait.

"6+ months" so could be a year or more. FF never been a big seller on PC anyway.

Agree! Can't wait for XV. FF games usually have excellent soundtracks, I am hoping XV doesn't disappoint.

Completely unrecognizable as a FF game. I was so hoping that the article title was a typo.

The combat was different, for sure, but it looks fun. Other than that, I saw Leviathan, a behemoth, a crystal, and airships, so... looks like an FF game to me. Just missing a chocobo and a moogle.

Yeah. I was totally confused watching that trailer. I was expecting typical FF type combat. I'm willing to give it a shot though.

combat looks like devil may cry or that FF spin-off action game on PSP.
open-world devil may cry is new JRPG.

After FFXIII I would not get my hopes up. It will be a good game yes but not Final Fantasy good like FFVI and FFIX.

So the turn-based battles are dead?

Weak. 13 sucked. Why did that have to be the well they insist on going back to over and over?

The combat is about 99% of the game-play of an FF game.

War over crystals (cliche and boring), over the top costumes, and collecting pokemon to fight for you, that's all this series is anymore.

I have to disagree with that. An FF game is all about story, character development, and exploration. Combat is important too, but it's not what keeps me going back to the series. I'll hold off judgement of the combat itself until more details come out, since it's hard to really tell from the video, but it's a guaranteed purchase either way for me.

Collecting pokemon? I mean, sure, there are eidolons or summons, but there are generally only a handful of those to acquire. Occasionally a character will have some sort of blue magic/enemy skill/monster control abilities that will require some collection from enemies, but I don't know that I'd compare that to pokemon.

While the story of a few of the Final Fantasys haven't been as good as others, I don't think I'd call any of them cliche or boring. Who else does stories in the scope that this series does?
