Toys R Us is having a promotion for Nintendo's new console, a total of 25,000 Wii units will be giving out over the duration of the event, this news comes from In-Store Marketing Group, the game is based off of NBC's Deal or No Deal television program.
Weekly circulars will have two suitecase cutout game pieces, players can cut out the suitecases, go into a Toys R Us store, and opt for a Deal (Scores them a 10% off an in-store item coupon), or a No Deal (Cashier's scan the ticket, lucky winners score a Wii console, or lose their 10% coupon in favor of a 5% coupon).
Players can play once a week as they get the new ads in.
There's also a $1 million prize, including a trip to Los Angeles to attend the show, as if anyone wants that. There's also a handful of other prizes including Nintendo products (non-Wii), Sony products, and Leapfrog products.
I'm assuming when they say "circulars", they mean the weekly ads, can't say I've noticed anything new about the ads, but I should really be out and about picking one up soon...
This must be a sham, my local newspapers don't even get a Toys R Us weekly ad! We get all the others; Target, Best But, Circuit City, Walmart, Office Depot, etc etc etc. I think we get like one TRU a year when they release their little holiday catalog~
Yeah I just got the ad earlier today. Doesn't mention the 25,000 Wii untis to be given away, but now knowing that I'll probably try this out. Plus, getting 5% off anything(a game) isn't bad(that's not mentioned either!).

While not 25k in Wii's, Nintendo does donate what they call Fun Centers:
Nintendo of America, longtime manufacturer of Fun Centers for the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation, is donating the 5,000th Fun Center to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at 10 a.m. on Oct. 12 with the help of Jamie Lee Curtis. First designed by Nintendo and Starlight Starbright more than a decade ago to combat the anxiety and weariness faced by hospitalized children, the latest Fun Center model includes a Sharp® AQUOS™ liquid crystal flat-screen monitor, a DVD player and a Nintendo GameCube™ system.
...
"It is fitting that Starlight Starbright's 5,000th Fun Center is a gift from Nintendo; we wouldn't have it any other way," said Don James, Executive Vice President, Operations of Nintendo. "I'm also pleased to announce that we will begin shipping new-and-improved Fun Centers to hospitals starting in summer 2007."
The new Fun Centers will feature Wii™, Nintendo's newest home console which is poised to be one of the hottest gifts for the holiday shopping season when it launches in November. Wii lets users control the action on the screen through the motion of the Wii Remote controller itself. It's designed to be playable by kids, adults and even grandparents. It has great games, but also is easy enough that anyone can pick it up and start playing, even if they've never played a video game before.
I finally got to play the Wii. Unfortunately it was Madden and I was not impressed at all. I was impressed with the look and feel of the hardware though. Can't wait to try an actual game that'll make good use of it.

I think they were trying to simulate how it will feel to pay 500-600 bucks for a PS3.

I'll shamefully admit I watch Deal or No Deal. In part because I enjoy Howie Mandel as the host, also because I like the idea that everyone is a winner, even if it's only for a penny.
