StarCraft: Ghost is Only Mostly Dead

In an interview with Official Playstation Magazine Blizzard Entertainment's Matthew Burger said that their long-dormant shooter StarCraft: Ghost is on hold, not cancelled.

Quote:
OPM: Is Starcraft: Ghost still an active project for Blizzard?

Burger: Itís on hold. It has never been cancelled.

OPM: So it might still get released?

Burger: Maybe.

There's a big difference between mostly dead, and all dead. One of my favorite movies.

I bought the original Xbox just for this game... Fast forward quite a few years and i'm about to give that Xbox to a local hospital for the kids to use, think i only ever ended up playing 2 games on it. Wanted this game so bad in the day, would love for it to see the light of day but not holding my breath.

If they're going to make it, it will be after Starcraft 2.3, which is at least a year and a half away, judging by the time between 2.1 and 2.2, so we're looking at a 3 year estimate, optimistically. Especially considering it hasn't actually been announced as in development again. They've always maintained that it was merely "on hold"
