The above image is one of the first pieces of media related to Battlefield 4 and looks like it could be the basis for the game's box art. Some people have noticed the image next to the soldier is Shanghai's skyline, so the game could possibly include the returning Chinese faction who were last seen in Battlefield 2. Click here for a huge version of the image.
The BF3 DLCs had hints pointing towards a 2142 sequel, I wish they'd made that instead.
And not just a few either. Loads of them.
I wasn't the biggest fan of this art direction in the first place... I was really hoping they would evolve it more. Im curious to see it though. This will probably be the first BF game that isnt a day 1 purchase for me though.
Interested to see what kind of engine changes we'll see now that they're working around such a low bottom line. Hopefully the core maps won't be a such a crowded fustercluck again. Have to see what previously cut features might make a return.
Not expecting a ton of info from this event though, sadly. Maybe some loud PR nonsense and a seizure inducing teaser.
I'm still getting plenty of playtime in BF3; I'd say I've gotten my money's worth. As long as EA doesn't invent new and interesting ways to hamper the experience, I'll likely be in on BF4.

Also, the blue filter stuff never really bothered me. Options for a few different cinematic filters certainly wouldn't go amiss. They sun definitely needs a nerf though.
I do not care how cool it looks I will not buy it based on the fact that EA is the publisher. I did not buy BF3 for the same reason. EA can go screw themselves.
You know what fuck this, give me commander, give me ability to speak with squad-mates. If not Battlefield is dead to me. Fuck EA and fuck Dice, ya sellout pricks.
There is no way I'm getting this. Way to soon for p.4 no matter what form it takes. Wasn't p.3 released Oct '11? That's like what, 16 or 17 months ago? And DLC is still coming fresh out of the oven? I'm NOT MADE OF MONEY DAMMIT!!!

I'm interested to see what they are going to do with BF4. I enjoyed BF3 quite a bit. Of course they could have improvements, what can't, but it was a solid experience for me.
It came out in Oct 2011 so it will probably be a two solid years before the release of it's sequel which is fine with me. As for the DLC, I liked most of it and the last bit should hit at the end of the month. Looking at some people upset that DLC is still coming out with the announcement overlapping seems like another damned if you do damned if you don't situation. They could have strung out periodic support for the game, cut off support sooner or they could have delayed the announcement of the 4th.
I'm actually a bit surprised they haven't gone to yearly updates like COD, Madden, etc.
