Kickstart Launched for Petroglyph's New Strategy, Victory!
My kind employers at Petroglyph have launched a Kickstarter for a new strategy game, Victory!
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...ames/victory-1
This quote summarizes the game well:
Quote:
“If World of Tanks, StarCraft and League of Legends had a baby, it would be Victory.” – Oksana Kubushyna, Victory Project Lead
Thanks!

Sorry but the "come play with us" was just classic.
As a game designer my self this quote
“If World of Tanks, StarCraft and League of Legends had a baby, it would be Victory.” – Oksana Kubushyna, Victory Project Lead
makes me want his drugs.
Are we sure this is the this is not some translation hick up ?

Too bad it looks MTX heavy and has no PvE, otherwise I'd back it. I was sad to hear about the all-but-cancelling of End of Nations but I can't back a game I'd never get any enjoyment out of.

The game reminds me of CoH:O with the specialized unit packs. I really loved / miss CoH:O and its unique take on RTS multiplayer.

I think they made me blue last year. I've joined the ranks of Yoda, Alec Guiness, and Hayden Christensen!

Initially I was not fond of the 1940s theme, but the theme really grew on me over the course of the movie.
I think more needs to be done to inspire the curiosity of the player, more intrigue.
The unit mechanics seem basic and fine, the card mechanic seems interesting albeit mtx centric. In consequence the game needs to offer something more intriguing to counteract that and grab users. What is it?
Will it be made available for consoles?

I'm guessing that future card packs area going to cost real world money to unlock?

Speaking of Kickstarter, seems the curse of the superhero game continues as Phosphor's Project: Awakened
looks like it will miss it's funding goal .

Here's a gameplay video that explains it as well as anything possibly could:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...5&play=1#video
You can make comments on the Kickstarter and they WILL be read by the devs.
