Hi Res Mario Galaxy Footage

Don't know if any of you guys have seen this, taken from The Revolution Lifestyle :

Hi Res Mario Galaxy Footage

If you click the page buttons at the bottom, you'll also find hi res footage of Zelda, Metroid Prime and Madden.

The spider fight looks fun and the lighting when he collects the star at the end looks pretty good...

oh man that game looks like 10 different kinds of fun. has this been submitted to news yet?

this is different footage than everything we've seen. we've only seen the octopus/tennis level...

here we see mario being used as a ball, and a 2 level maze.... man looks like all kinds of fun.

I don't recall seeing any of this footage, either. From TGS, I'm assuming. Madden on Wii should be interesting...

That was great! The spider boss did seem a little bit tedious, but then most boss battles are in my book.

Looks very good. the only thing I don't like is the white glowy outline around Mario most of the time. It looks odd.

I was just about to say the same thing! Hopefully it will not be present in the final version.

actually when i saw that little glow i thought it was kind of cool.... made mario standout more from the background, and looks like some kind of advanced graphics mumbo-jumbo that would be advertised as a feature a generation ago.

didn't thief have a similar glowie around the avatar? The impressions i heard from people about that one was that it was perfectly done...

Well that was for a reason, so you could see yourself in the dark... Mario isn't exactly a master of stealth.

hehehhee....

well since mario is floating through space; with thousands of stars reflecting off of him on a black background... it could fit... *shrug*.

anyways, my initial impression was how cool the whole thing looked - and i noticed the glowie....

That gave me a creepy image of Mario stabbing a guy ala the end of "Saving Private Ryan".

Ya know, Nintendo consoles generally live and die by their first party titles.

I know that Ninty have been had in the past at supporting third party developers, and as a result third party support is often lame, and many will say this is why Nintendo have lost their hold on the games industry.

All possibly true, however what you can be sure of is that when Nintendo bring out a console they will release a new version of their first party games, and they'll all be killer apps.

Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros. The list goes on.

Mario, Zelda and Metroid will be enough for me to own a Wii. They were certainly enough for me to own a Gamecube.

This footage of Mario looks awesome.

Really? I thought it was really good. It only shows up if he's lit from behind if it works like I think it does.

Perhaps he is...a master of unlocking?
