This is the official trailer for Guild Wars 2, the sequel to the beloved and bestselling MMORPG Guild Wars, developed by ArenaNet and published by NCsoft.
Guild Wars 2 features a visually stunning, AAA persistent fantasy MMO world while retaining the subscription-free business model that has made Guild Wars so popular. Guild Wars 2 is the deepest, most advanced MMO on the market and delivers the full MMORPG experience with robust PvE and PvP, dynamic combat, and a unique storytelling device.
Acclaimed Director James McTeigue (V for Vendetta) was brought on board to lend his revolutionary zeal and craftsman's eye to the launch trailer. Guild Wars 2's tagline "Our Time Is Now" is vividly brought to life as seekers in our world take the fight for change in Tyria.
This looks like an ad from the bad old days. Back when marketers didn't understand games, figured the audience didn't either and if there wasn't 'bridge' material to tie a video game setting to the real world, would just invent their own anyway.
Because everyone knows you can't just put an orc on TV and get it over with. You have to drag the audience through the fourth wall or they won't get it.
I'm thinking of buying GW2. Is the Digital Deluxe Edition worth the extra $20?
I love the game, and have the DDE. Is it worth the extra $20? I don't think so. You get a portable banker that has a 5 day limit on it. You get a pet and a necklace. If the banker didn't have a limit on it I'd say yea, but 5 freakin days? Bleh. Just get the regular edition.

You also get a cool looking spirit wolf that will fight beside you at level 30. He kicks ass but he only last for 30 seconds and takes another 240 to cooldown. Is it worth it... not really.
I am having a blast!! It looks amazing(awesome, paint looking design) and the music is very nice. Also, as I have posted here before, it just flows so much better then any other MMO. You get right to what you want to do and its awesome. Its pretty freaking hard too. I tried my first dungeon recently and our group got our asses handed to us. Felt great!!!

I play a ranger. It's pretty fun. All the classes are enjoyable, but I'd probably recommend an Elementalist or Engineer. They're the two deepest classes.
I tried Guardian but gave up at level 15 and then briefly flirted with Elementalist but really didn't suit my style of play.
Now have a level 25 warrior and this is much more like it. Nice long ranged ability with bow or rifle and then switch to shield and sword to close quarter damage.
I'm still getting a kicking now and then when I get too cocky but overall I love the warrior class.
It's a stunning game artistically with frequent moments when you get to a fresh area and are blown away by what you can see. I truly undersatnd the term " eye candy " because this game has a feel good factor from looks alone and that is a very rare thing.
A lot of classes are poorly balaned, right now my understanding is that the warrior, necro and guardian are pretty well balanced. The Ranger seems to be balanced well too but has issues with pet AI. Thief is is a mixed bag, lots of PVP complaints of being overpowered but perhaps a but underpowered and too squishy in PVE. Elemntaists is way squishy compared to ther casters bad in PVP and doesent do quite enough damage to balance out with other classes also requires massive skill spam between all 4 skill trees. Engineer turrets are too weak and slow to deploy. Mezer has a few good builds for both PVP and PVE but was last to be added so there are some odd bugs and issues that aren't sorted out.
