I dunno, this looks like it might actually be good. Certainly more representative of and closely tied to the videogames than any of the other RE movies I've seen. (Granted, I only saw the first two.)
I buy them because I find them enjoyable. They aren't great cinema or acting, and they aren't loyal to the video games, but I don't give a shit because I still enjoy watching Milla kick zombie butt.
The fact that they're so successful amuses me because I never hear anything but people bitching about them, yet somehow they keep making enough money for another one. I hope this is the last one though so I can finally buy the whole set on blu-ray.

There are two Paul Andersons in Hollywood, and only one of them matters; one of them made all the Resident Evil films, the other made Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and There Will Be Blood. Guess who'll still be remembered two decades from now!
These always come out right around my birthday. Everytime my brother and I drink just enough to make the movie perfect to watch and get a DD to drop us off at the theater. We have a blast.

Well, I take that back. If filling a room with Juggalo's and the fat, 30 year old guys who work at Best Buy (RIP) and still live with their parents is good, then yes, you have me.
Otherwise, reassess what you think "good" is.
The first movie wasn't bad just generally. The rest though... They fall into the same category as the Underworld movies. Definitely not "good", but still fun to watch if you're willing to not nit-pick everything.
You guys act like there is a pleathora of choices out there right now. 90% of the movies released are mostly-to-total shit. I watch a lot of movies every year and I see 2-3 that are pretty good. The last one I saw was 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy'.
