Rune Classic Released on Steam

Human Head has released an updated version of their third person viking game Rune. Titled Rune Classic, it includes the original game, the Halls of Valhalla expansion, and some additions such as new enemies and redesigned levels. Could this be leading up to a Rune 2 announcement?

• Some levels have been redesigned for more enjoyable play
• Experience multiplayer in vicious, fun "up close and personal" melee action with swords, maces, hammers and axes (or your opponent's head or arm)
• Includes Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Arena and Headball

• All the music tracks from the game and the original audio CD will be available as part of this release in OGG format

I still remember how absolutely amazing the graphics were when this game first came out.

If they didn't add achievements, I wouldn't have cared.

I think the game would have been much better if the first half didn't take place almost entirely in boring caves filled with crabs and zombies.

Somehow this slipped under radar back in 2000. Must have been too busy playing Ultima IX and Might & Magic VI.

I sank an unhealthy amount of time into this game the first time around. Will buy.

I remember when this first came out that my PC was barely able to deal with it. Not being able to afford to upgrade sucked. Now I plan to get some bloody revenge! Awesome post, I hadn't heard this was coming out!

Needs more ruins of valhalla!!! Otherwise, some of the best 3rd person multiplayer deathmatch ever.
