ZOE's story was incomprehensible drivel. Never played ZOE2, I wonder if it explains:
1. Who the protagonist is
2. Why the bad guys were chasing him
3. Where the mech came from
4. What happened at the end
5. Any. Thing.

He was some kid who accidented his way into owning a massive robot that some dudes made and they wanted it back. Simples.

Ah yes, the game with the crotchpits. Was okay, nothing remarkable, though I wouldn't mind seeing more games with the gundam/macross style space combat out there.
Preferably with less laughable mech designs.

To anyone who played and enjoyed the first, you're in for a real treat when you play the second ZOE. It's just better in every way, and it's one of my all-time favourite games. I'm going to have to pick this up since I never owned ZOE1.

Sounds like every Jrpg from the last 2 decades. At least Z.O.E. has an excuse of being old and closer to the source.

I answered every question except for the ending one and the one about where it came from because it doesn't matter. That's like asking where the guns Solid Snake uses comes from, who cares, a factory? Not important.

Hey, even the Let's Play bitched about the story! I had forgotten how many GOD DAMN cutscenes were in that 4 hour game. That was an era of cutscene problems, if memory sereves, with FFVII-VIII and MGS telling developers players wanted to watch, not interact. They were wrong.
