It's one of the bonus missions that comes with the collector's edition. For all we know it might involve a different assassin.
Or maybe Conner is thinking "fuck this winter shit" & just up & decides to fly a giant bald eagle down there to catch some tasty waves. Who the fuck knows.

The hype train got rolling really early on this game, didn't it? I've been seeing TV commercials for the game for the past two weeks, and it doesn't even release until the end of October.
This is probably going to cost $150. PASS. I got the AC1 and AC2 collector's editions, but since they ruined it with the last two games, I am less inclined to spend extra, especially since they won't cost a reasonable $70 or so like those did.
How these companies decided that what they were including for $10 extra a couple of years ago they can now justify charging $90 extra for is beyond me. Rich idiot gamers, I guess.
Can't help but notice the PEGI rating on that image. Any word on if this limited edition coming to the US as well or is it only confirmed for Europe?
Looks like I may have answered my own question, though Wikipedia is the source so I don't know how true it is. Supposedly it's exclusive to EMEA countries, and there's actually 3 different special edition versions.
...but since they ruined it with the last two games...

ACIII has a different development team than what Brotherhood or Revelations had. In fact, it sounds like ACIII's development time will be around as long as ACII's development time was.

Thanks Booda, gives me hope. Still not getting this CE if it costs over $80 though.
Hutchinson backed up his talk of quality with some numbers: by the time it's released, he said AC3 will have had a three-year development cycle -- the longest since the original Assassin's Creed -- and taken double the man-hours of the Ezio games.

The only limited edition AC I felt compelled to buy was the Brotherhood 'Jack in the Box' one for the 360. One of the best Christmas gaming presents ever.
Wait a minute. A mind controlled future dude goes back in time through cyber technology to inhabit the body of an early American revolutionary in the lost Mayan ruins? Is this Mormonism meets Scientology?
