Starbreeze Announces 'Cold Mercury', a Free-to-Play Game
Starbreeze Studios has announced a new game called Cold Mercury, which will be free-to-play.

No, Syndicate was a property most developers would kill or die to get their hands on. Starbreeze took a beloved franchise and cocked it up. All they needed to do was look at what made the game great and do more of that.
Instead they re-worked the property into some kind of oddball first-person shooter because someone in a suit and tie at EA thought they needed more shooters.
It would have worked great as a 3rd person shooter (ie, Gears of War) and they could have kept most of what made the first game great.

Not sure they can force them to create a shitty game. What did they do, call them up and complain "this game is too good, fck it up some more"?
Syndicate doesn't look to me like it suffered from production cuts. Starbreeze just seems to be stuck at Riddick's times.
