Madden and Invincible in one week, that's a lot of football goodness going on right there. Not to mention the two fantasy drafts I have coming up this week. WOO!

Anyone play the Bad Day L.A. demo? My membership at Gamespot lapsed and I don't have patience for demo downloads anymore.

man, i wouldn't even pay $0.99 for the whole collection of last year's EA sports titles. I think i'd have more fun paying full price for Daikatana.

This Island Earth?

The only people who would recognize that title are probably pissed it's not coming wrapped inside the MST3K movie.

I can't be bothered to pull down the Bad Day L.A. demo, so I may risk it.

Preseason football on TV and the opening of my fantasy league (which I won last year *cough*) has me awfully excited about the NFL. It's going to be a crazy season. Oh, and I'll pick up Madden since I can get it cheap. I'd like to see how they pulled off the 'running styles'.

And I *just* this morning saw a commercial for "How To Eat Fried Worms"... as that was one of my absolute favorite books when I was a kid (if I remember correctly, it's the first book I ever re-read), I'm thinking I'm going to have to go see it. It looks awesome from the commercial.

And I'm definitely going to Beerfest. Drunk. Without any pants. (Well, might run into trouble on that last part...)

Is it a cartoon or real actors? I saw the cartoon adaptation of it when I was a kid, on CBS Story Break, and I also read the book. I remember liking both.

There was also another book and Story Break cartoon...Chocolate Fever? When the kid had chocolate dots all over him, like the chicken pox? There was another book that had something to do with the Midas Touch but being Chocolate instead. I was an avid reader as a kid and loved all that stuff.

EDIT: Nevermind, clicked on the link. Looks like the movie will suck.

For some reason I thought the Fried Worms book was the one with the kid that ate his big brother's turtle and smeared the wall with mashed potatoes in a restaraunt. Can't for the life of me remember things that far back anymore. =(

What, just because it's live action? C'mon, not everything can be CG-cartoon these days.

The only thing that might suck? I cannot STAND Hallie-Jo Eisenburg. I wish she'd die in a tire fire.

I remember the Chocolate Dots story AND the Chocolate Touch story. When did they stop making good literature like that for the kids today? LOL

I heard nothing but bad things on the thread from those who played the demo.
