While some may not know his face, there's plenty of gamers who know and love the voice of Tony Jay.
Having portrayed such characters as MegaByte from Reboot, the Elder God from the Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver titles, as well as having a smattering of other roles in games such as World of Warcraft, Fallout, and The Bard's Tale. Tony Jay also voiced in such Disney films as The Hunchback from Notre Dame and Treasure Planet, as well as providing the voice for Shere-Kahn in later updates of The Jungle Book. He passed away at the age of 73 due to complications from tumor surgery.
I LOVED everything this man did. He was the Ghostly Host of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland when I was a kid. I was very impressed with his character work on Reboot, and his role in the Legacy of Kain series was by far the most impressive casting for a video game, he brought the story to life.
I've played Soul Reaver many times because I loved the story and the voice acting. His work was brilliant.
Man, that killed my day.

Oh no. That is so sad. Everything he was in was turned to gold and made better for it. I will miss his voice, he was unmatched. I'll always rememebr him best as Sher Kahn, and the amazing Blood Omen/Legacy of Kain series. What a shame...
Condolences to his families and friends, and the world of fans he has..
This is the saddest news I heard all day... Needless to say I'm a huge fane of Mr. Jay's work, especially in the Soul Reaver titles. Absolutely amazing voicework. He will truely be missed...
