Meet Rhino, the first classic Marvel Super Villain to be unveiled exclusively
for the upcoming video game from Beenox, The Amazing Spider-Man. This
new, reimagined version of Rhino was created specifically for The Amazing
Spider-Man video game and will not be seen in the theatrical film.
I think it is sad when I can watch that video and tell you, at some point in that fight, you need to / or a video will happen of Rhino, crashing thru the gate and electrocuting himself.

If the design document for your new comic based super hero game includes the words "dark" or "gritty" draw a huge red "X" across the front page and write "it's been done to death, gamers are sick of it." Then play "Freedom Force" until you smile and design something new.
Its called two different franchises in two different realms. One is Marvel, the other DC. There is room for both.
Yes, there is room for both. And a million and a half more. But at some point, don't you think the whole dark, gritty thing starts to seem a bit overdone? It might work for Modern Warfare, zombie killing games. Batman, and several other genres. It might even be perfect for this Spiderman game. The trailer looks fantastic. But as a consumer, it seems that the dark and gritty thing is being overused. It is like the Sriracha of design elements these days. Every gamer grew up with saccharine Mario, Crash, Sonic, and Bubsy games and now they have a need for realistic pathos and angst. Then comes 8th grade, and eventually a more diverse aesthetic landscape emerges for game designers.
Pre-Clone Saga Spiderman is the correct tone for the character. They were writing a serious depiction of an adult man juggling a real life and an alter ego that fights crime. It had humor and enough depth. Leave the wholly dark depiction with Batman, and the awkward teenage crap with any of the other million X-Men rip offs like Runaways or whoever the flavor of the week is.
Dubstep fad continues. This is practically a meme in the industry now...
Decent trailer though.
That wasn't dubstep and the trend has actually evolved into just being random shitty electronic sounds and simple beats. Basically a generic mixture of complex-electro genre, random noises and the occasional wub wub wub. I hate it as much as the next guy but I actually liked the way the sounds were used here.

If it sounds like there was some dude who created sounds made to annoy every ounce of my body, then it's dubstep to me. And agreed on the Rhino, he just looks silly regardless of how "dark and gritty" you make him. He's wearing a fucking rhino suit, how the fuck is that ever gonna be edgy?
