I expect this to be really good. This, in my opinion, not DNF, is an actual display of what gearbox can do.

Been itching for this game for a LONG time. Huge fan of the Aliens franchise, glad this game is set in the universe proper and not AvP or anything like that.

Sweet it's a sequel to the movies, too.

Since everyone is gushing over this I took another look. One thing I see really out of place is their use of the alien's acidic blood. The marines completely ignore it, and so does the game environment.

Too early to tell I think. You'd have to assume they're going to do something about it.

That scene with the two pouncing on the cargo lifter really stood out to me, because all I could imagine is a hail of bullets followed by ear deafening shreiking, a giant hissing pile of molten matter leaving a crater in the ground, and all the marines being eaten because they had to seek cover due to the fumes.

Gearbox is the kind of company that will cut corners for the sake of fun, so I don't expect them to pay any attention to the detail, and just try to make a scary fun game using a reliable IP with a scarred history ups and downs.

Mostly using resources from the previous developers. DNF is not inductive of Gearbox's ability.

This trailer is looking like they might have nailed it. I think it helps that there is no Predators.

Fail. They didn't make DNF, they just cobbled together the scraps and released it as precondition to owning the IP.

I didn't play DNF but I'm glad someone finished it up. I wish gearbox the best of luck with this one... Tho I wish it were more of an RPG thingy.
