Activision sends along a Press Release announcing their Best Buy Call of Duty 2 Xbox 360 online gaming tournament.
Quote:
Issuing a call to Allied gamers everywhere, Activision, Inc. announced today that it has joined with Best Buy to recruit players for the Call of Duty 2 Xbox 360 online gaming tournament, facilitated by the Global Gaming League (GGL). Now through June 16, 2006, gamers can log on to www.bestbuy.com/gamingtournaments and register to compete against the best Call of Duty2 players for the chance to win a 2006 Jeep Wrangler, Best Buy Gift Cards and more. Entrants must have Xbox Live Gold to participate.
“As the most popular next-gen online multiplayer game on Xbox Live, Call of Duty2 has a fan following that thrives on this type of competition. And by partnering with Best Buy and the Global Gaming League, we’re able to give gamers even more incentive to answer the call for some great action,” said Dave Anderson, senior director, licensing and business development, Activision, Inc.
More than 500, four-person teams will battle in single-elimination, bracket-style competitions that will narrow the field to the top eight players. Finalists will take to the front lines on July 22-23 for the chance to win the Grand Prize -- a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. First- and second-prize winners will each receive a $500 and $200 Best Buy Gift Card respectively.
How far did Team Evil Avatar get in the GRAW tournament?
Bap and I made it to round two. Round one consisted of our opponents being no-shows. However, due to a scheduling conflict, which I had no problem with at all, we had to forfeit so bap could take the Mrs. to the airport.

Appreciate the response. I'd be happy to make it out of the first round just to see if I could do it. I wonder if anyone will enter from the site again.
I would do it again, but this time around you need four people. That would be a bitch to coordinate.
