According to an interview with Ragnar Tørnquist in the norwegian website IT-Avisen's latest podcast, the sequel to Dreamfall is already in the works. It hardly comes as a surprise that a sequel - and what is supposed to be the latest installment in the The Longest Journey triology, was planned, but according to a recent interview with GamaSutra, it didn't exactly give the impression that they would get started right away. The page containing the announcement can be located here together with the podcast.
Hearing that the guy behind the incredible (and free) Anarchy Online and The Longest Journey games is at it again makes me as excited as a democrat on a gun convention.
Last I heard they were holding off doing a sequel based on the sales of Dreamfall. If you beat the game you know that this title needs a sequel, and I really hope it gets it. I would like to confirm through the link, but I can't read o's with a line through them... or the rest of the words on that page.
Ragnar Tørnquist quashes the rumour on his blog...
Sigh.. thats what I thought but I was hoping for a sequel in the works.. Actually I was hoping to see some footage at E3 heh. Sounds like the trilogy is at least 2 years away, probably closer to 3 or 4.
