Valve sends a long the second L4D2 TV spot that has started airing this week in North America featuring the song "Electric Worry" by Clutch. Check out the YouTube video, below.
Just got through playing the demo, both solo and in an online group. Damn fun game! I'm definitely going to buy it at some point now. Pretty much what I'd always wanted from a zombie game. Valve nailed it.
Also..not sure why people bother arguing with teecakes... I sincerely believe now that he is a bot built by Sony and unleashed on small community sites.
money well spent. That looks like a good commercial.
I do wish, though, that game commercials were required to show at least *some* gameplay.
I'd tend to agree, but it's extremely problematic for this game. They can't show the through-the-roof violence, gore, or carnage, so what's left? Show a few shots of them walking around deserted streets in-game? Not a real good sell, there.
I'd say this commercial hits like a truck where it matters: raise awareness of the game to the uninitiated. The demo will have to take care of the rest of the equation (gameplay, graphics, etc) for potential interested buyers.
Since when did Valve start running with EA?
I understand that EA was supposed to do the port for Orange Box to PS3, but I didn't think there was much partnership after that.
None of the Valve games on 360 have an EA logo on them. (That I can see or find.)

I'm pretty sure EA publishes all the Xbox ports for Valve, at least L4D. I doubt they have anything to do with their PC games, unless you count the EA games on Steam.
Very cool to hear Clutch music as the background music! One of my favorite bands! Been listening to them since the early 90's... and they still rock da house!
If you want to see the video for that song... it's bad ass... check it out!
The level we get to play on the demo, is that considered a 'single campaign', that is--the game says it has 5 campaigns, but how long is a campaign??? Can anyone who played L4D1 answer, or someone with more knowledge of the game.

No. That is only 2 of the 5 parts of the Parish campaign. There are 5 campaigns, however I do not know if all 5 campaigns have 5 acts. And the machete is pure win! Frying pan and guitar... not so much.
Demo did not run well on my E8400 w/ 4 GB of RAM and 8800 GT w/ 512 @ 1920x1200, which is odd, considering L4D, CoD4 and Borderlands runs much better with higher details. Also, it locked up hard (video driver failure) part way through the second section (while on the tower shutting off the switch)
The L4D2 demo looks like a L4D mod. The interface appears much better and there appears to be more gameplay options. Loved smacking zombies with a frying pan.
At this point though, I don't think I'll be getting it without some kind of video card upgrade.

Oddly enough, the demo ran fine on my Asus N10J netbook with a 9300M mobile graphics card. A little chunky during zombie rushes, but what do you expect from a netbook?
Yeah, I love the machete, just stand there and take wave after wave no problem. Thanks for the info. The guitar sounds cool when you hit zombies though ;P So does the frying pan, but they aren't instant kills.
Uber: I'm running an 8800GT, 1600x1050 workin' just fine at nearly max visual settings. Only 2gb ram too. Although, I did get a few just random crashes while it was loading games, but I attribute that to bugs in the first release. It's never locked on me during play. And not a hitch in the framerate. Just make sure you have enough free memory to play the thing. I free up a gig when I play, which usually means closing firefox to make sure there's a gig total. control+alt+del.

Guitar seems to have a wider arc. Not as fast as the machete, but you kill more zombies at once. Think I prefer it as a general use support weapon. heh Besides, it looks cooler on your back.
