Alpha Protocol Hits October 6th

Coming hot on the tail of that cancellation no one wants to really talk about (except by a low-key forum post), SEGA has a announced that Obsidian's Alpha Protocol will be shipping October 6th.

When first revealed, it looked like it may be the "spy" version of Mass Effect and I was excited... after seeing some videos from E3 though, I got unexcited. What say you all?

Mass Effect 2 is still top priority for me, but if there is some spare time & cash I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot.

A spy RPG, by Obsidian, with whom Bethesda is entrusing Fallout: New Vegas? I'm still SOLD!

By the way, since we have Alpha Protocol for 10/6 and Dragon Age: Origins for 10/20, that leaves 10/13 or 10/27 for Borderlands (which at last report was only set for October '09 as a release date). October is RPG-a-palooza month!

Same. It just does not seem to be shaping up like it should be. And for all the love I have for kotor2, it is evidence that Obsidian will release an unfinished game. So, I will keep and eye on this one and see what type of reviews it gets.
