Modern Warfare 2 in Next Game Informer

Game Informer just keeps rolling with great cover stories. Next month is the hotly anticipated game Modern Warfare 2 (which still is not being called Call of Duty by anyone).

Quote:
We’ve been really excited to reveal this one, so here it is: Modern Warfare 2. We’ve got a 10 page world-exclusive cover story on the new shooter that’s going to blow your mind. We’ve also got a six page first-look at the hot new music title DJ Hero. We also take a look at comics that have come from games and the fate of consoles and their lifecycles. That, plus all of the usual news, features, previews and reviews await you in the June issue of Game Informer. So do what you need to do – check your mailbox, get some snacks and clean off your reading chair.
Wondering when the scans will hit...

I hadn't even noticed that the advertisements weren't calling this game "Call of Duty". I guess the title "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" was getting kinda long.

Meh, I don't think it's that long. You'd think they'd want to mention it's a Call of Duty game for the recognition. But then again, I'm sure Infinity Ward would rather separate themselves from Treyarch.

Yup, I'm almost certain that's what it is now.

I would think that Infinity Ward is just tired of calling every game they make Call of Duty. Also when I think of Call of Duty I think of WWII and I think they want to distance MW2 from that thinking.

They dropped COD to get away from Treyarch's debacles

Or for short: COD4-2
