This is a demonstration of what the game looks like now, period. In fact, it is probably what the game looks like on a pair of Asus ARES IIs running in crossfire on an x79 i7 3970K overclocked a gig. Saying that problems like severe pop in or late-appearing ground clutter appearance can be fixed on the consumer side is ridiculous after release.
Never said anything worded like "on the consumer side", don't twist my words, I said it should look better on high or EXXXTREMMEE detail (when it ships). If it doesn't, it's worthy or criticism, because I agree, it's pretty ghetto looking ATM.

I haven't played any of this yet, but what I have seen looks exactly like a zombie game should be! You're alone in the worl with other survivors during a zombie outbreak... The only thing I don't like from what I have seen, and I will go to my grave defending this, is the running zombies!! I will be geting this when the stand alone (if ever) comes out, but for the love of all that is holy...can we just get slow moving Romero zombies ONLY please!?! They seem to be the most scary for me. The running ones kind of get away from what the "zombie rule" says: You can just walk past them, but they will never stop until you put them down. Awesome idea for the guys doing this, and maybe I'm old school, but graphics DON'T make a game. Can't wait!!
What, no love for 28-Days-Later-style zombies? I like slow zombies too, but I think it would be harder to make a game like this with a big world exciting with 'em. Zombie coming? Just walk or bike away... ZZZzzz.
I'm half kidding, but for DayZ I think they made the right choice.
