The movie might have been lacklustre, the movie might have done a poor job with great source material and the movie might as well have never happened but gosh and golly do Raven Software know how to make great X-Men games.
this game is amazing. I'm enjoying it through and through. Ive yet to beat it but its so much fun. I just stopped by a gamestop today to see if they had any pre-order cards left and they did! im so excited to try that out. It surpasses the movie 10 fold.

bad move on statement on my part... Goldeneye and Spider Man 2 were both excellent games...
of the two I'd give more credit to GoldenEye, Spider Man 2 got tiring after a while as I am sure Wolverine will, but GoldenEye stands the test of time.
I'm not a huge comic book fan (I keep up a little bit through, so I've always had this feeling that Wolverine was overrated compared the other X-men (e.g., shooting eye-beams and controlling weather).
But this game REALLY gave you a feeling of why Wolverine is one scarey mofo. The great thing was the game did it from the offensive (crazy leaps and claw attacks) and defensive side (the guy keeps on going with sunlight shining straight through the gaping wounds in his chest).
The only thing I wish is that the combat was more Prince of Persia:WW combined with Ninja Gaiden vs. the god of war frenzy. I mean, they capture the visceral nature of Wolverine spot on, but I would have liked a little more finesse to the combat. That said, it plays easy and is fun to see wolverine do what we all know he does best, rip some shit up.
PC version is a blast too, but I suggest re-mapping Z to the mouse3. Having to hold Shift+Z and use WASD is very awkward for my man-hands. There are so many ways to kill people that don't involve a QTE!
