Trine Releases Today

Hey there, looks like Trine is coming out today on Steam (in about three hours). It's $30, and you can still get Shadowgrounds for free from buying it up. So, if you're gonna buy... DO IT NOW OR YOU LOSE FREE STUFF.

Unless you already have it, that is.

I bought a four-pack weekend special a while back under the assumption I could 'gift' the two I already owned to a friend, like I did with HL2 when I bought the Orange Box. No such luck. I contacted Valve and basically they said it was up to the publisher. Valve lets you do it with their stuff. Anyone else it's not done by default.

That's left a bad taste in my mouth ever since. This is something that would never occur with a physical product. :P

That said, Trine looks great. Hope to grab it at some point.

Yes, this does look awesome. I'm just not sure if there's enough content to justify $30. I mean, with only five dollars more I was able to pre-purchase SF4.

I have had the same thing happen to me with a different game.

The demo was lots of fun, but I think $30 is about $10 too much. I'd be very tempted if this were $20, and it'd be a no-brainer at $15 or less.

really wasnt impressed with the demo. Maybe I just dont think this concept is as original as everyone else says it is.

It gave me an updated "Lost Vikings" sort of vibe, which was a game I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, Trine's characters don't have quite the appeal of Baleog, Erik, and Olaf.

Still, I'd snag it if the price were lowered.

I liked the demo and was having fun, until I realiized I was playing a puzzle game, I hate puzzles IN games, let alone those built around them.

You let knowledge of the game's genre outweigh your enjoyment of the game? I'm at a loss for words.

This is one great looking game... I cant help but notice how much it seems like it should be played with a gamepad though.
