First Electronic Arts committed Wikipedia fraud. Now Sony is up to bat. And this time the company is question wasn't editing their own entry with false information, they edited a competitor's. SCEE's Liverpool studio was caught red handed making changes to the Halo Wiki entry adding that the graphics will "look the same as Halo 2".
The article has now been locked by the Wikipedia from further updates.
Well it's true. The graphics look like Halo 2.. I think it's more of correct editing in a neutral fashion other than what was originally written, which was of course pure fan boish
Definitely NOT a smart maneuver given they were caught red handed and this is simply another incident that gamers will add to their collection of "Sony's Embarrassing PS3 Moments".
As a PS3 can I get some good Sony news for once? Sony can you help me here?!?!
I think it's just stupid. I thought the whole "wikipedia can track edits" was big news, so to ignore that and edit the wiki entry is pretty stupid. I mean, who works in the gaming industry and doesn't read Penny Arcade or read Slashdot? At least one of those sites should have told every Sony employee what was up.
It doesn't matter if it's true or not. It's completely unethical for someone working at Sony to edit the Wikipedia entry for one of their competitor's products, especially to edit it with negative information.

Oh cool, didn't realize some people had the game already. That's weird. Is the campaign any good?
I think they look the same as halo 2, when not in motion.
You must be looking at different screens from the one I've seen. Although Halo 3 doesn't look like a quantum leap above Halo 2, the differences are pretty clear to me.
Doesn't this fall under that new law about guerrilla marketing (shilling)?

Seriously, the visuals look way better than Halo 2. Granted, when I played the multiplayer beta back in May, I wasn't impressed with what I was seeing. Then shots of the campaign were released and it looked like a night and day difference for me.
