Does anyone else think it is a bit scummy to hold back a character class as DLC? The game wasn't even finished and Gearbox was talking about DLC like the Mecromancer and the "Season Pass".
It makes me want to just skip the game and wait for the Gold box edition. (Which is what I did with Borderlands.)
Why pay $60 for the game and another $50 in DLC when a year from now you can get the whole package for $20?

I doubt they need much defense, and I know you say things to drive up page views(And does it ever work); however, the DLC was worked on after they had nothing else to do, as it was started as they waited on the certification process on Xbox/PS3, and the game was going gold... Rather than rushing out a half-finished character to meet release/the small window they had...
Gearbox has tended to side on the views of Valve more than once on their thoughts of DLC, albeit not 100% as they aren't charging 0$ like Valve does..
This is just confirmation of what most developers do anyway with day 1 DLC. They hold back parts of the game and sell it at launch. Bullshit, I say. Bullshit.

They also use the excuse (lie) that a separate team of people began working on it after the game was already finished. I know for sure Gearbox lies about that because people found Duke Nukem Forever DLC assets in the DNF demo files.
