Of Orcs and Men, the grand role-playing game jointly realized by Spiders (Realization and Development) and Cyanide Studio (Concept and Production) for PlayStation 3®, Xbox 360® and PC, today unveiled a new series of screenshots, which reveal some of the new lands to be explored in this epic adventure. The game will invade E3 this June at Focus Home Interactive's booth!
The game starts you in the role of an elite Orc warrior, deeply involved in the war against their persecutors, Humankind. You have been sent on a dangerous mission that could change the course of the war: kill the one responsible for all the bloodshed and mobilization of the human race to destroy the green-skinned people--the Emperor himself. Joining you in your mission is a Goblin, an assassin and master of stealth, who complements your Orc's brute strength in battle.
From the Wall separating the Empire of Men from the Orc territories, to the Isle of Laments, Of Orcs and Men’s fantasy universe comes to life thanks to the powerful graphics engine developed by Spiders. The 5 screenshots revealed today are a testimony of the care brought by Spiders and Cyanide to realize a quality role-playing game endowed with a strong identity, an exceptional ambiance, and unique graphics rendering.

When are we going to get weapons that are actually sheathed instead of just magically sticking to someone's back? I'd like to see that. Give me a game where the basic laws of physics seem to apply to my character.
Then make my character an enormous orc. I can handle that.
I dunno, initially I thought this game was particularly uninspiring.
But, now I see something, with some hint of story in there, as if they've boiled down the fantasy universe to pure essentials, and perhaps this could be something a bit more special than I'd thought.
With a compelling story and fun combat, this could be really good. So, I'm willing to be surprised at this point, and will give this a closer look, but it's really teetering on the edge of looking like the least ambitious fantasy game I've ever encountered--but again, if they've taken the tack of simplicity in order to focus on the story and gameplay, could be great.
I love it. The rest of you haters, go back to waiting for the Diablo 3 server to come back up for the 4th time today.
Yep, same studio that just release the Game of Thrones RPG, which while rough around the edges due to being a small French team, is actually a great game as far as classic RPGs go.

The servers have been pretty much stable since day 2.
With that being said, I'll be playing D3 and anxiously awaiting this game as well; I thought it looked awesome since it was announced.
Yeah, looks cool and all but Cyanide are the fudgepackers who borked up Blood Bowl, so they can take their beret-wearing, pencil-moustache-twirling, cheese-eating bullshit and go surrender.
