I am waiting for UPS to deliver Diablo 3 CE, Game of Thrones CE, and Max Payne 3 today. This is like THE gaming day of the year. How can this fall top that combo?
Yep that trailer screamed "Hey look at all these swords they're sharp, shiney and coming at you from all different directions. Please don't notice how sucky the graphics of the actual game are and that we've shown absolutely no game play features in our trailer."
Would not trust the reviews or knock it until you try it. It is from a very established developer, whose last RPG was Loki on the PC in 2007. Also, I have yet to play a bad game developed in France.
Been playing about 30 minutes now. I really like it!! It's a little rough around the edges, but nowhere near the abomination that was cursed crusade.
The voice acting is actually pretty decent, and Varys sounds like Varys from the show.
Combat is quasi-turn based where you slow down time to issue commands to a queue. Very old school, but works nicely. You can move in real time any time in combat.
Graphics are serviceable, environments are downright nice! Music is great and a lot of it is from the HBO show.
No, it's not a AAA title, but I like it far better than say the demo for Dragon's Dogma. Give this a chance guys! That IGN review is just flat out by someone who's never seen a more old school RPG or is not a fan of the series.

Very easily, sure they that day to have 1 major title (Diablo) 1 semi major (Max Payne) and one question mark in GoT. But this fall they it in weeks.
Now, we have Borderlands coming out in Sept. THANK GOD!, but come the end of October from just looking really quick.

That is 5 quality titles, in back to back weeks, which also doesn't include the likes of Borderlands (stated above), Resident Evil 6, Far cry 3, Dishonored...
I would have to say if anything, this year has been the most kind to the gaming community with all these amazing titles coming out, but a real freaking bitch to our wallets. I have no idea how I am going to be able to afford all of these games.
