IGN has a video with Diablo III lead designer Jay Wilson, where he gives some advice on surviving the game's Inferno difficulty mode. Watch the video here.
Hardly surprising advice, essentially "Use all your abilities". Still, I suppose it's good that they think there isn't some magical min-maxing way to do it.
Wouldn't be surprised if people fine some less balanced ways to do inferno, although I imagine they'll patch and balance as those things turn up.
Nine more damn days to go. Just pre-purchased it right from Blizzard so I had the downloader get the game file already. =\
I haven't been anxiously awaiting a game's release in quite some time. It feels good to be all giddy and excited; I can only imagine what next Monday will be like.
The only thing I'm worried about in Inferno difficulty is having 200ms ping at all times (the best an Aussie player can hope for). I hope the game is designed so that this doesn't have an impact on avoiding attacks etc. in the later difficulties

If I manage to get some 500ms I'm a happy man.
And that will be the case even in single player

who gives a crap about inferno lol. he basically sad its like diablo2...
the real question is can one finish hell without getting killed by the first rat you encounter. if the answer is yes, than i have another on: can one survive hell without items whose drop-rate are below 0.005%? i doubt the answer to that is yes.
only charakter that could do "well" in hell without runeword only 2% of all dibalo2 players have ever seen in their life, were a orb sorc or java-amazon or the damn hammerdin...
oh my fault, so inferno is the last difficulty lvl in d3. anyway if it plays like hell in d2, it will be very depressing in larger groups, at least for ppl with out that 2% item-drops.

Well, its the worst difficulty, its not really meant to be easy. I cant pick up and play Dark Souls on uber difficulty either without doing at least a little grinding ( a little being alot.)

...What are you talking about?
Hell mode was difficult, obviously...but you're making it sound much harder than it actually was.
It was difficult, but certainly doable with a little determination.
