Looks interesting. I missed the first game but read the RPS play through they did a while back and it sounded like it had some interesting mechanics in it.

I'd like a review from a fan of the previous good piranha bites games. Gothic 1, Gothic 2, and Risen.

You can't really trust the big review sites on their games.

I did like Risen a lot and the reviews weren't that great, some games just grow on you.

Sounded like Simon Templeman (a.k.a. Kane) in the beginning of the trailer. If so, WIN.

Very much like Gothic 1+2 and Risen... Combat is still the same, where your skill with the sword matters more than the stats and blocking at the same time still wins fights. The addition of pistols is great, very satisfying to shoot enemies point blank. Story elements are very familiar and the same, great humor and the Pirate faction say fuck at least twice in every sentence. Exploration is still greatly rewarded and the monsters mobs are not too hard. A lot of different skills, including great crafting for guns/blades with specific schematic s for different blades/guns. I hope that they have unique schematics ala Arcanum, that would be cool.

Loving it so far, using Muskets/Shotguns is a lot of fun. The dude from Out of Eight gave it 25% and I am really not seeing it, but I guess if you are not used to this type game it can be hard. Awesome Gothic 1/2 clone for me and enjoying it immensely.
