The monks. Holy warriors who believe that the madness and chaos of Sanctuary are destined to be brought into order, and that it is their sacred mission to assist their thousand and one gods in doing so. Arrayed in the fiery colors of Ytar, the fire god, monks draw from their years of intense training and meditation to become masters of melee combat. While proficient with many types of weapons‚ staves, blades, maces and spears, monks have no real need for such crude tools. Their discipline has honed both body and mind into living instruments of divine justice.
Either my attention span is shrinking or I really am not that jazzed up about this game. Did anyone else drift off after the first 30 seconds of this monotone monk video? I keep watching this thing and thinking they should call it "Tiny Ant Battles Viewed from Far Above."
The monk was the class I had the highest hopes for and really didn't enjoy in beta. I think what got me the most, and it's definitely something you could call nitpicking, is that there was very little sense of contact with the enemy.
While the casters zap from afar and the barb dude just cleaves shit in half, i really wanted a sense of physical smackiness with the monk and he just floats through his enemies like everybody else. Sure there's knockback and there's stomping and all that, but none of it felt like when you slap a ham, ya know?
So what you are saying is that you want the snazberrys to taste like snazberrys.... No for real I can see what you are saying. At least in D2 with the Warewolf you could see the cumps react in PVE and PVP.... I miss D2

Nice. After watching this video I'm now tempted to start off with the Monk, or at least make it my multiplayer character as I enjoy playing support classes.
