Wasteland 2 Exceeds $2.1 Million, First Concept Art Released
Wasteland 2 has exceeded $2.1 million on Kickstarter, which means Obsidian will be lending support to inXile in the form of development tools and Chris Avellone's writing skills. Also the first concept art for the game has been released, which you can see above (a high res version can be found here.)
I understand the excitement and all, but I was too young to play the original when it came out, and while I enjoy Fallout and similar games, I always get bored with them before I finish them. I'll probably give this a shot when it's done, but I have a feeling people are putting it up on such a high pedestal that it will never live up to expectations.
If it happens to be only an ok game, hey, I only spent $30 and hopefully the music is decent too.
If it happens to be a great game, fuck yea, I only spent $30 on it!
I've said it before and I'm going to say it again. Wasteland is what got me into gaming. I used to play it at school because I didn't have a computer at home. That summer the computer lab teacher actually let me take a computer home to play it, so long as I brought it back a week before school started again.
I'm already in for a good chunk and I don't care if the sequel sucks. Would be nice if it was awesome tho =D
