I'd love a new Crystal Chronicles, but the character art doesn't look right for that IP. Shame there's enough Square Enix games using crystals as a mechanic to keep it ambiguous.
why don't they just can all these other projects and remake FF7! now that would be worthy of kicking a heap of cats (why would you kick a dog?)
They keep saying that remaking FF7 would be too costly. I understand the situation, but i also think that it would be so financially viable that I honestly don't fucking know why they haven't done it yet.
pfft put the project on kick-starter and it'd have the funds in 1 week! Plus they could use most the art assets from the film for the characters and some of the world locations :P
The japanese have always had this tie to the earth and mother gia in their RPGs, so fuck crystals. Just make games based on ancient creatures that live under the earth and come up to threaten the planet. It's worked for godzilla and living in volcanoes. If only they had a clue how to capitalize on it.

I would kill anybody in cold blood for a 3DS remake FF6.
They were working on a DS version of Final Fantasy V similar to the polygon remake of Final Fantasy IV, that apparently got too involved to actually work on the DS. So I expect a 3DS version of FFV and FFVI to show up sometime.
