Adventure Time Game in the Works

According to Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward's latest tweets, he will be teaming up with WayForward, makers of Silent Hill: Book of Memories for the PS Vita and Shantae: Risky's Revenge for the DS, to bring us all some slammin Adventure Time gaming on the Nintendo DS. No details as of yet besides a few drawings and a release planned for some time later this year.

Cool, and inevitable. I just finished watching the first season, and it's true, this is like an 80's cartoon teleported to modern day. Love Adventure Time!

Yeah it was only a matter of time for some kind of game (other than the Flash ones on their website) was released. I've been watching since I caught it on tv by accident. Been hooked since and have it set to record all new episodes on DVR ha. I'd really love some kind of RPG.

Hope they turn out something nice, and not anything like the usual garbage that games based on movie/tv IP's get. You'd think Adventure Time would be easy enough to work a game around.

And THAT is how you know this is going to be a high quality game.

Not that I'm hating on AT, I just think it's telling that they're apparently only just now getting started, and yet still expect the game to release later this year. Although personally, I think I'd rather see a WarioWare-style game based on The Regular Show.

That means it'll be 2d. They can pump one out that fast in 2d, no prob.

My daughter will love this. And I guess I will play it as well... Parenting is so hard sometimes!

To quote series creator Pendleton Ward, on the topic of a potential Adventure Time video game:
"I vow to make a top notch game. [...] if we had the largest budget in the world I’d love to make something like Oblivion, but set in the Adventure Time universe where it’s a giant free-roaming world. It might be fun to make it have Monster Hunter style gameplay with Katamari graphics."
Saw that on Reddit. I would probably jizz in my pants if that came true. Totally go without food for two weeks just to get that game.

Wow, that would be insane. I'd prolly buy the $150 CE.

But that goes against anything Thad...

So am I the only one that sees that AT is set in the mind of a boy that is in the coma after a nuclear war? No? K.
